Posing!! |
While most people blog about their children, I don't have any so the dog will have to do. Yes I have a dog; but no, I am not one of those obsessive people who thinks their dog can talk back to them or that their dog needs to eat better than they do. Dolly eats plain dog biscuits from the floor just like a dog should, and on the odd occasion she gets a bone.
So how did Dolly come into our lives? It was before we were married - I had been telling Andrew how I always wanted a puppy, but was never allowed one. He refused to take me to the animal shelter knowing that if we went, we would not be coming back empty handed. Thankfully his tone changed during one of the "puppy days" at the Lee County Humane Society.
There were plenty of puppies to choose from, (side note spay your pets!!) yet Dolly seemed to grab Andrew's attention - specifically when she got her head stuck in the crate and started whining...we should have known then!! Long story short, we now have Dolly, who is named after the hurricane that came through when she was little. She is a lab mixed with who knows what!
Here are some pictures of the princess - I call her that because we got her a new bed and she spends most of the day on it snoring like she doesn't have a care in the world...I will post some of her antics throughout the summer too.
